State and Local Tax Deduction Limit  (SALT)

Beginning in 2025, the Act sets a $40,000 limit for the deduction of state and local taxes. This includes real estate taxes on homes, state income taxes paid, Minnesota auto license tabs, and sales tax. We expect many more of our clients to itemize this year, as many were previously limited to the $10,000 limit.
